BACKGROUND
Before Reed Lifts
More than a decade in the lift industry before Reed Lifts, most of it on platform and access lifts rather than general lift work. That is where the specialism came from: it is a genuinely different discipline to stairlift work, and most general lift engineers have not done enough of it.
Founding Reed Lifts
Reed Lifts Ltd was incorporated in April 2025 to do the work properly and answer for it personally. Two people: Harry on the tools, Charlotte on the admin. Small on purpose, because the whole proposition falls apart the moment a customer gets put through to someone who has never seen their lift.
Now
Installing, servicing and repairing platform lifts, stairlifts, through-floor lifts and hoists across London, Kent, Essex, Surrey, Sussex and Hertfordshire, for private homeowners, care operators, managing agents and other lift companies who need a platform specialist.

- EAL Level 2 NVQ Diploma — Performing Engineering Operations
- LOLER competent person, thorough examination and statutory reporting

SPECIALISM
Platform lifts first, stairlifts second, home lifts third. Reed Lifts is independent of every manufacturer, which means the recommendation you get is not shaped by whose network we are in.
