The stairlift beeps and will not run
Most often it has been parked away from its charge point and the batteries are flat. Send it to the top or bottom of the rail and leave it a few hours. If it will not hold charge after that, it usually needs batteries, which is one of the cheaper jobs on a stairlift.
The ride has gone rough or noisy
Commonly carriage rollers. Caught early it is a service item. Left alone it takes other things with it.
A Midi lift door is heavy or hard to use independently
A power door operator upgrade is usually possible and is often what brings the lift into DDA compliance.

Yes. You are free to choose who maintains your lift. We service and repair Stannah units across London, Kent and the South East, and we are not tied to the manufacturer's parts network.
Very often. We recently diagnosed a Midi lift that had been standing for several months and staged the parts to bring it back. It is worth a second opinion before anyone quotes you for a replacement.
Yes. A good reconditioned unit, properly checked and fitted, runs as safely as new for a lot less money. We fit both and will tell you which makes sense for your staircase.
